What I love about a new year ....

New Calendars & Diaries, I love to write in birthdays, events & start planning the social schedule!

1. NAB Agribusiness calendar on my wall of Mary at work

2. my date block - yes I have made my own as we don't have 2010 yet - it is amazing howe many times I look at this each day and couldn't stand seeing 31st Dec

3. a beautiful calendar a client gave me, it is huge with awesome photographs from all around the world

4. my NYC calendar that Neri gave me for Xmas, makes me wish I was back there

5. a NYC desk calendar I got when I was away in my study at home

6. my 2010 Kikki k diary - totally makes me happy.

Now you will not believe this. You may remember my celeb sighting with Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Caterall in NYC. Well Nerida saw this in a gossip mag -

Lots on the list of jobs to do around here - my cleaner can't come this week (devastated) so I feel like I at least need to vacuum, I am trying to finish my December daily album & would like to organise some photos so I can print them then scrapbook!

Hi there 2010 !

Merry Christmas, Happy New year & all that.

I have arrived home this afternoon to a town that is overgrown, lush & almost as humid as the coast! My dead patch of grass in the back yard is no longer thanks to 5 inches of rain!

Christmas Eve ....

Finally the day we were all waiting for, Christmas day ....

We opened presents at the farm & then had a yummy lunch, Neri & I hung out in the blow up pool watching the storm roll in. We then went to my Aunty Susan's place to catch up with Dad's side of the family, then to a bbq in Quirindi at Jenny's with all of Mum's family. It was a busy day but everyone had fun.

Each year I vow to take better photos at Christmas, there is always so much going on I even tried a family photo - it didn't turn out so great

On Dec 27th Billy turned 1 - we had a little party & gave him his presents, which Robbie & Charlie opened!

Boxing day everyone was exhausted, I did something pretty cool, I made a quilt! Now some members of my family might say that my Mother made it but I truely sewed (most of it) & really enjoyed doing it, we then went to South West Rocks.

I got quite a few kitchen/cooking things for Christmas - maybe my family are trying to tell me to be more gourmet rather than lean cuisine? After what I have eaten over the last week & a half it is back to the lean cuisine diet tonight!

In other news, Milly & Cottsi had a baby girl - 2 weeks early, 8.5lbs Penelope Alice & as the circle of life continues we lost a friend, so I will be starting the week attending his funeral, so very sad.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas & break, off to do the washing!   
 
 
 
  
 

Now I am officially excited!

Tonight while packing ( or should I say laying things out in piles ) I started to get really excited - 2 more sleeps!

A busy day, I got my filthy car detailed - it's like brand new, Jody had her baby, a week overdue, Ruby June Turnbull - hope to visit tomorrow &  I had another quick trip to Beauty Matters! ( I did manage to squeeze some work in there too )

I saw the trailer on tonight's news!

Tomorrow afternoon I head for home then to SWR's Sunday, I don't have any annual leave but am going to be relieving at SWR's NAB for the three working days next week - I know tough gig but someone has to do it. So farewell Blog readers, see you in 2010!

Massive weekend ...

Very social & fun weekend.

Starting with Friday, we had a bbq at work, then our annual girls Christmas dinner

Saturday was a lunch at Polly's then the twilight races where we had our NAB staff Christmas party

Today was rather quiet, I did another photo shoot & not much else. I'm wishing I was at the farm as David, Mel & the boys arrived today for Christmas - 4 more sleeps till I will be there too - I love Christmas and having the boys with us will be so great. Bye, MP 
 
 

TGIF !

Friday could not come around quick enough this week! To think this time next week we will be seeing if the big fat man in the red suit came to visit!

So what have I been doing -

Last night I got a new hair do - 4 hours at the hairdressers! I'm hoping for a new attitude to go with it?

I have a rather big weekend planned, starting with a staff breakfast this morning, bbq at work, dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow then the twilight races, we are having a marquee for our staff party - lots of fun.

Not much other than stressful work to report today. I did find a great top for the races, thanks to Kate's fashion advice. I have been trying to make photo cd's but have a cd stuck in my computer - argh!
 
 

So where have I been?

Wee Waa, Narrabri & back to Moree. Today I got a mani/pedi - I don't normally get my nails done so for a treat for Xmas I got a french manicure - so nice! Thanks Sandy.
